Fancy Words Are Simply Fascinating!!!

Bonjour-fancy for hello!I LOVE Fancy Nancy books! It is a line of children's books that are adorable, charming, and a fun way to learn new words. I love french themed anything, so when I found Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy, I bought it right away. The illustrations are beautiful, the writing whimsical and 'chic!' I finally found some new Fancy Nancy books yesterday and excitedly read them to Peyton. The newest one is called Fancy Nancy's Favorite Fancy Words. It might be the teacher in me, but I adore this book. Ooh la la!-fancy for "Look! How wonderful!" Nancy says that using a fancy word in a sentence, is like adding sprinkles to vanilla ice cream!!!!!!!!! LOVE THAT! Yes, it is the teacher in me, but it is great for teaching new $100 words for writing!
Do you think I could get paid for the review I just gave this book?!!
Other books in the series include...Fancy Nancy, Fancy Nancy: Bonjour Butterfly! Check them out...Kelle-I know this is a series after your own heart. Jenn, FINALLY MORE FANCY NANCY!!!
I know I am being a bit...zany-fancy for very silly but I am a bit of a xenophile-fancy for a person who loves foreign people and foreign things! LOL

Fun with Mosaics and Playful Park Photos!

Carin, thank you for your cool mosaic idea, love it!

Golfing, Giggles, and American Idol!

Look out Tiger Woods...here comes Beckham leading the front nine. Look at that form, concentration, and above all-the bright blue crocs. He keeps his eyes on the ball and, "BOOM!" It cracks through the sky and flies...3 feet in front of him:)
"BOOM," is what Beck's says whenever he hits the ball or means to hit the ball. He is constantly running around the house with his club and saying, "gup ball." Needless to say, daddy is very happy about this!!!!! Peyton LOVES to go golfing too! She especially likes to put on her very own golf shoes and drive the golf cart!

Some of my happiest moments come from watching my two children play together. Seriously though, I could sit and watch them laugh, chase, tickle, talk, interact with each other ALL DAY LONG. I love that they enjoy each other so much. Sometimes I will be in the kitchen, and from the other room I will hear them belly laughing together. This can go on and on for a long time! At moments like this, I stop and silently say a prayer and thank God for my two happy and healthy kiddies.

Okay, I know my face looks smooshed in this picture, but I don't care because...My kids are fighting over gets to sit in my lap!!!!!! I LOVE THAT! My friend Jenn, who has two super sweet kids Jordan and Katie, told me that sometimes the two of them argue over who gets to sit on her lap. I mean these kids must really ADORE their mother if they are trying to win lap time with their mommy. They really do adore her, I mean what is not to love. Secretly, I remember thinking to myself, I really hope that my kids 'fight' for my lap one day. Well, I am happy to report that it has finally happened. Mind you, Jordan and Katie are older and I think that is even more impressive, but I'll take whatever I get. Poor Jeff looked on with an empty lap, but he knew how happy I was!!! I wish you all full laps tonight!

Last but not least, American Idol night(s) at the Darwish house is very exciting. We very much look forward to it, we let the kids stay up later to watch it, we make comments, we judge, we critique,...and YES, we vote! We love this family time and if you look closely at the picture, Peyton is sitting next to a mound, not a pile, but a mound of laundry that needs to be folded. Yes, I neglect the house on American Idol nights and I wouldn't have it any other way:):) GO David Archuleta!!

Lovely Little Lily!

Lily, Lily, Lily. She is P-E-R-F-E-C-T! She smells like heaven. Her features are petite and perfect. Her little fingers grasped my finger and I thought my heart would melt into a puddle right then and there. Her little lips were slightly open while she slept and to simply watch her breath in and out was a blessing. Her little toes and cheeks and head and ...everything are amazing. She truly is a beautiful baby. Her mommy and daddy are so happy and in love and you could see that admiration and love written on their faces. Kelly has never looked so content and beautiful. Through the tears Kelly tried to say how happy she was, but I know that words alone can not convey the strong bond one feels for their child. Lily is a true blessing to all of us just as her mommy is to me. We love you miracle baby!

My Sweet, My Lovely

Peyton chose this picture to post on 'her' computer...I must admit that it has a high cuteness factor. The only thing I don't like, she looks like a 5 year old...(heavy sigh) I miss my sweet, tiny baby girl. Sometimes my arms ache with the desire to hold that baby again. Peyton is growing up fast. I love you, Peyton Mae!

Double Date!

Peyton and her cousin, Sophia, both 3 years old...planned for a night out on the town! They were sweet enough to bring along their mommies too, Jennifer and me! Sophie and Peyton are about 3 weeks apart in age and love each other dearly. We dressed up, built a bear, climbed some light poles, giggled, had a wonderful dinner, and topped it off with ice cream. It was a dream come true night for me. On the DAY Peyton was born, I talked about having date nights with Sophia and Peyton together-a date with my baby girl-making precious memories. What a blessing she is to me.

Planting a lily for the long awaited arrival of Lily Grace!

Peyton has been asking me to plant the little lily bulb that was given to guests at my friend, Kelly's, baby shower. I kept telling her we were going to wait until 'Auntie' Kelly's baby was here. Well, little miracle baby made her debut on Friday night! Lily Grace Hutcheson is here. Healthy, happy, sweet, and lovely. Finally, Peyton can plant her lily for Lily. We had fun. Even Becks discovered he had a green thumb!
You can see georgeous photos of Lily and her beautiful mommy and daddy at http://babyhutcheson.blogspot.com/
We love you baby Lily, Kelly, and David!

The men in my life!

That love is all there is,
Is all we know of love.
